Situation and challenge
More than ever, enterprises are subject to a dynamism driven by the market and the customers. The business process which was still valid yesterday is out-dated today. To make this dynamism better understandable, many enterprises use the ARIS toolset product family from IDS-Scheer AG to document their business process management.
In addition, legal and normative conditions like ISO demand that changes of the business processes are accounted for. Such proof is required for a successful certification as well as the tracking of business process changes of an enterprise
Solution description - ASS_ProVer - Change management in ARIS
To comply with the demands of authorities and individual businesses requirements, ASS.TEC has developed the tool
ASS_ProVer for the Change Management in ARIS.
ASS_ProVer complies with the document requirements of ISO/TS 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 as well as OHSAS 18001 and focuses on the traceability of changes in process descriptions in ARIS, as demanded by these norms.
Additionally, this solution enables extending the proof with business-specific contents.
The following points are considered in the standard:
- Changes of the enterprise’s organigram (changed department names, e.g.)
- Expiration of process validation (expiration of a production line, e.g.)
- Recently added process models (because of new production areas)
- Changes in the operation of existing processes, like additional processing steps, expiration of processing steps, or new names for processing steps
- Responsibility changes (role changes) within a process
- Cancellation, renaming and amendment of resources like data, documents and systems within a process
- Cancellation, changing and amendment of relations (angles) within a process
ASS_ProVer can furthermore be adapted or extended to business-specific contents. Changes regarding cultivated attributes like process owners, role and system descriptions and similar aspects e.g., can be checked.
ASS_ProVer presents process changes proofs in the form of a list of changes, which can be archived by the enterprise. Within the change management this change proof needs to be created whenever a new release is cleared. We recommend combining ASS_ProVer with the (online) publication of the process models.
